London Gamblers - A South London Hockey Club
The London Gamblers was formed in 2008 by a small group of university friends looking to play hockey together after moving to London. Today, we’re a friendly, sociable club with two men’s and two women’s teams who play on Saturdays, and two mixed teams play on Sundays. With teams playing in a range of leagues across South London, there’s a level of hockey for everyone. Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to the game, we’ll celebrate our successes both on and off the pitch.
Our teams enjoy spending time together both on and off the pitch, and are always looking for new people to join the fun. We’re a small club, which means we work hard to keep the friendly ethos throughout the club to make sure everyone has a great time whether at training, during a game or socialising afterwards.
Our home turf
We play and train at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre which is easily accessible from South West, Central and South East London. Training takes place on Tuesdays and after games you’ll find us in Crystal Palace’s Bridge House toasting to our successes (or drowning our sorrows).
A vibrant social scene
Our club social secs organise regular socials throughout the season where the whole club comes together. Whether we’re Ceilidh dancing, summer barbequing or pub golfing, there’s always something to look forward to, whatever you're into.
